About Us

About Saro Catering

Saro began long before it had a name.
In a village surrounded by sugarcane fields, our grandmother cooked for every wedding, every prayer and every family gathering in the neighbourhood. Over a wood fire, in pots so big they needed two people to carry them, she made briani, seven curries and gâteaux that people still talk about today. She never measured anything. She tasted, she adjusted, and she fed everyone who walked through the door. The whole village simply called her Saro.
Her children grew up peeling onions, grinding massala and learning that food is the way a family shows its love. When they started cooking for weddings themselves, there was only one name they could give the business.
Today Saro Catering works from a modern kitchen in Phoenix, with trained chefs and a professional service team. We cater for Hindu, Tamil, Muslim, Christian and Chinese celebrations, for company events and for intimate family dinners. But in every pot, the most important ingredient is still the one she taught us: patience.
When you invite Saro to your celebration, you are not just hiring a caterer. You are welcoming a family that understands what this day means to yours.
